Easy Family Supper Ideas

Hey, y’all! I hope you’ve had a good weekend. Mine was spent with family, and I couldn’t be happier about that.

When COVID started at the beginning of the year, and people were encouraged to stay home, I started cooking more than I ever have before. With that being said, I’ve discovered some yummy, yet simple meals that I’d like to share with you today.

Breakfast Casserole

We’re big breakfast people around here, and breakfast for supper is always a go-to. I typically serve this breakfast casserole with some fresh fruit on the side.

Grilled Chicken Wraps + Sweet Potato Fries

This one is pretty straight forward and not necessarily one I have a recipe for.

I simply grill the chicken in a skillet using some olive oil and spices (salt, pepper, garlic powder, oregano, paprika). Add cooked chicken into a tortilla with cheese, lettuce, and any other toppings you desire.

Here’s a quick recipe on baked sweet potato fries. My favorite spices to use with them are salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Sausage and Peppers

On of my favorite bloggers is Caitlin from Southern Curls and Pearls, and she shares easy, healthy recipes on her Instagram and blog.

Over the summer, she shared this sausage and peppers recipe, and this continues to show up on our supper rotation. I like the fact that this is a three-ingredient, one-and-done kind of meal.

Chili + Grilled Cheese

With fall temps officially arriving, I’ve been craving warm soup and chili.

This is an easy weeknight meal that is sure to have leftovers. I just use the chili recipe on the back of the McCormick chili package.

A grilled cheese sandwich is a filling side for this recipe. Also, if you want a really good grilled cheese, add a little bit of butter to your skillet before you cook it.

I hope today’s post was helpful!I have a family of three, and we usually have leftovers from each of these meals. This is great to take for lunch the next day or even have for supper the next night.

Let me know which recipe you’re most excited to try.
