Transitional Fall Capsule Wardrobe

Happy Saturday, ladies! We finally made it to the weekend, and I’m here for it!

The phrase “capsule wardrobe” has gained momentum over the last few years. If you’re unfamiliar with this concept, it’s when a handful of clothing items is mixed and matched in as many ways as possible.

I put together my own 21 piece capsule wardrobe (with items already in my closet) and created 75 outfits using only those pieces. Yes, 75 outfits! Here’s a list of those items:

I took one “focal” piece, such as a dress or a pair of pants, and used everything else to style as many looks as possible. I was honestly surprised on how many different outfits came out of this process!

dress (The navy is sold out, but this gray one is cute, too.) / denim jacket (similar) / white sneakers

My goal with this capsule wardrobe was to use pieces that would work now when it’s blazing hot and later as fall arrives. By incorporating jackets, cardigans, and scarves, achieving this was easy.

Additionally, one thing you’ll learn about me is that I like to shop at inexpensive places, particularly Walmart and Amazon. Marshall’s and T.J. Maxx are also great places to look to find name brand clothing (if that’s your thing) for affordable prices.

Also, I’m definitely not telling you to go out and buy everything in my capsule wardrobe because chances are, you already have some of these pieces. “Shopping” in your own closet can produce some valuable finds!

I hope that this post will inspire you to utilize what’s already in your closet. Let me know which look or piece is your favorite.
